Bring a song, production, mix, or project you’re struggling with. You’ll listen together, identify what’s holding it back, and work through the decisions that can move it closer to finished.

Who You’ll Learn From

Every session is shaped by the same ears behind multi-platinum records for artists including KISS, Alice in Chains, Disturbed, Smashing Pumpkins, Kanye West, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Common, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and Miles Davis. Chris is the former Chief Engineer at Chicago Trax Recording and former Senior Producer/Engineer at Chicago Recording Company, and now owns Stonecutter Studios in Chicago.

This isn’t a workflow pulled from a textbook — it’s the actual process, deal points, and judgment calls behind records that went platinum, taught the same way Chris would walk a new engineer through it in his own room. Sessions run in person in Chicago or remote by video worldwide, two hours minimum, scheduled around your calendar.
